Alma Coefman
(Flute) Born
in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She played
in numerous chamber music concerts in Argentina, Japan, Italy, Canada and
United States. She was also member of
different contemporary music ensembles. As a soloist she performed with the Camerata
Accademica di Padova (Italy), the Cardenal Newman Orchestra (Argentina), the
Tsukuba City Orchestra (Japan) and the Concordia Symphony Orchestra
(Edmonton). Alma Coefman was a member of the Youth
Orchestra of the National Radio of Argentina, The Orchestra of the Catholic
University, the Cardenal Newman Orchestra, and the Philharmonic Orchestra of
Buenos Aires (Colón Theatre) She also performed in several groups devoted to
the diffusion of Argentina and Latino-American music, such as Nuevos Aires, Maíz,
Tango Gotán, and Aires del Sur. She
taught at Alberta College Conservatory. Now she continues with her
freelancing chamber music performances. |

Carlota Clevenger (Harp) She
began her harp studies in 1981, at the age of seven, at the Conservatory of
Music of Puerto Rico with harpists, Maria Rosa Vidal and Maria Cristina
Firpi. In 1985, at the age of eleven
she moved with her family to Chapel Hill, NC where she continued her studies
with harpist, Olive Jenkins of Hillsboro, NC.
With in a year Carlota began performing professionally with her
teacher, Olive, at various events with in the Triangle area. In the fall of 1992, after high school
graduation, she attended Appalachian State University in Boone, NC to pursue
a major in Harp Performance where she studied with harpist Jacquelyn
Bartlett. Since 1986, Carlota has
performed for many events such as weddings, receptions, private parties,
local orchestras, and chamber ensembles.
She also had the special opportunity to perform for the White House
Christmas Tour of 1993. |
